David D. Leahy

David D. Leahy, 83, died Saturday, Sept. 14, at 6:15 p.m. at Calumet Memorial Hospital here
[Chilton, WI]. He had been in ill health for several years and was taken to the hospital the previous day when his condition took a turn for the worse.Mr. Leahy was born in Chilton town March 9, 1874, son of the late John and Anne Doyle Leahy.
He and his brother, Cornelius, farmed the homestead until nine years ago when they sold it and retired. They continued to occupy the farm dewelling [sic] along with their sister, Miss Margaret Leahy.
Mr. Leahy had never married. He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and two brothers. Survivors are his brother, Cornelius, and his sister, Margaret.
Funeral services were held at 9:00 a.m. at the Pfeffer Funeral Home [Chilton] and at 9:30 at St. Augustine church. Rev. Roland Ohearn, pastor, officiated and burial was in the church cemetery.
The following served as pallbearers: Clifford McHugh, Gervase Bloomer, J. J. Grimm, Henry Roach, William Carney, and H. R. Schmidlkofer.
